| Q:Why do people join Oklahoma Methodist Manor (OMM)? |
| Because it offers an ideal place to live. Members enjoy charming comfortable homes in a desirable neighborhood. Methodist Manor is in a convenient locale surrounded by many familiar area shopping, dining, and entertainment destinations. Gracious hospitality and services are offered in a welcoming community. OMM provides an abundance of opportunities to explore diverse interests and activities and the assurance of lifelong healthcare if ever needed. The immediate plans for expansion and renovation are especially exciting–in addition to the current OMM community, a new neighborhood called “CRESTWOOD” offering 103 modern residences is planned and scheduled for availability in early 2012. |
| Q:Who owns and manages Oklahoma Methodist Manor? |
| Oklahoma Methodist Manor is an independent tax-exempt
501c (3) corporation. It is affiliated with the Oklahoma
Conference of the United Methodist Church and governed
by a volunteer Board of Trustees composed of Tulsa community
leaders. Members are currently drawn from nine different
churches and Conference agencies. Oklahoma Methodist Manor is a faith-based community that is open to all. Members and visitors are welcome without regard to religious preference. OMM's management team is dedicated to serving members with commitment and responsiveness. |
| Q:What is a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC)? |
| A Continuing Care Retirement Community such as OMM provides the optimal value, flexibility and peace of mind for you and your family. This community enables you to live in a private residence, with the assurance that exceptional healthcare is available through every stage of life should it become necessary. All Members have access to on-site wellness programs, preventive care, 24-hour urgent response, assisted living services and nursing services. We will offer memory support services in 2012. |
| Q:What type of residences will be available at CRESTWOOD? |
| There are 20 different floor plan designs from which to choose from 670 square feet to 1500 square feet, 1 bedroom/1bath to 2 bedroom/2 bath den/patio. |
| Q:May I personalize my CRESTWOOD home to my preferences? |
| Yes. Members take pride in furnishing and decorating their new homes to reflect their tastes. CRESTWOOD at OMM will offer a wide selection of custom upgrades. With approval of management, and for an additional cost, you can add special features such as ceiling fans, crown molding, hardwood flooring, cabinetry, ceramic tile and room color-scheme selections. |
| Q:May I have overnight guests? |
| Yes, guests are welcome to stay with you at your residence or in a CRESTWOOD overnight guest accommodation. |
| Q:What kind of fees will CRESTWOOD Members pay? |
| As with most not-for-profit communities, CRESTWOOD Members
will pay a one-time Membership Fee and begin paying a Monthly
Services Fee upon moving to the community. The Membership Fee guarantees lifetime residency/membership, use of the common areas in the community, availability of the community's services and amenities and priority access to healthcare that is available on-site. Membership Fees vary depending on the type of residence and refund option selected. There will be a Second Person Membership Fee and Monthly Service Fee when there are two people. | Q:Is the Monthly Service Fee fixed, or is it subject to change? |
| Monthly fees are reviewed annually by the Board of Trustees
and management and may be adjusted based on actual operating
costs. Costs are carefully managed, and fees reflect the
lowest feasible rate to maintain sound financial practices
and the high quality of our services. A 30-day written notice is provided to all Members in advance of any adjustment to the Monthly Fee. |
| Q:What options are available for estate planning? |
| Four CRESTWOOD Entrance Fee Refund Options are available
(The Second Person Entrance Fee must always follow the
Standard Refund Plan): Standard Refund Option: In the event you voluntarily cancel your membership after moving in, you will receive your entire Entrance Fee as a refund less 4% immediately (for the introductory period of 5 months) and 2% per month for each following month of occupancy through the next 48 months. The Refund gradually declines over the first 4 ½ years. After 53 months, there will be no refund of the Entrance Fee. 50% Refund Option: You will receive your entire Entrance Fee as a refund less 4% immediately (for the introductory period of the first 5 months) and by 1% per month for each following month of occupancy through the next 46 months. After 51 months, the refund amount will remain unchanged at 50% of the First Person Entrance Fee. The Refund gradually declines to never less than 50%. 90% Refund Option: You will receive your entire Entrance Fee as a refund less 4% immediately (for the introductory period of the first 5 months) and by 1% per month for each following month of occupancy for the next 6 months. After 11 months, the refund amount will remain fixed at 90% of the First Person Entrance Fee. The Refund gradually declines to never less than 90%. 100% Refund Option: The First Person Entrance Fee is fully refundable at any time. |
| Q:What amenities and common areas are available? |

| Q:Are other services and amenities available? |
| Yes. Services available for an additional cost include –but are not limited to– an expanded dining account, transportation to specific destinations, salon services and event catering. |
| Q:What healthcare services are available? |
| OMM is committed to helping Members maintain good health
and to meeting a wide range of healthcare needs. Our
healthcare services meet the highest standards and are
some of the most extensive found in senior living communities. Wellness and Prevention includes exercise classes, strength and cardiovascular training, wellness programs, seminars on diet, nutrition and other health-related issues, and preventive care services. Urgent Response System provides 24-hour urgent response to health and safety needs by healthcare and security professionals. Holliman Assisted Living Center provides assistance with activities of daily living–bathing, dressing, medication management, etc. OMM Health Center provides 24-hour nursing care by qualified licensed and certified professionals. OMM has accommodations for 84 in nursing care. OMM Memory Support Residence is in development and will provide assisted living/memory support for those suffering from any kind of memory deficit–such as a dementia like Alzheimer's disease–through member-focused, activity-based care in a secure area. Dedicated to providing distinctive programming in an innovative, progressive approach to memory care, the center will be designed to enhance quality of life and maintain cognitive abilities for as long as possible. |
| Q:Does OMM offer regular church services weekly? |
| There are currently Bible study classes and Vespers on Sundays. Most current Members attend the local church of their choice. |
| Q:How do I become a Member of CRESTWOOD at OMM? |
| Come to the office to meet with the staff and compare the various residence selections. After you select a residence type, you can reserve it with 10% of the Membership Fee. At the time you reserve, you will be asked to provide financial and health-related information, followed by a membership review. Your move-in date will be set as construction nears completion in 2012. The balance of the Membership Fee is due prior to move-in. |
