Roger has degrees from Oklahoma State University and Purdue University and is a retired petroleum engineer.  Jan graduated from the University of Kansas and was an Occupational Therapist before retiring. Bud Langdon has been a Patio Home Member for 22 years now. Bud was in the United States Marine Band—also called The President’s Own. He met his wife in Washington, DC. She was in the WAVES in World War II; when she left the Navy, she worked for the schools in Arlington, Virginia, and later for Tulsa University. When Bud retired, he decided to open an electronic organ company/studio. The organ company said Tulsa was the best location and that’s how they ended- up here.

Bob Smith and his wife moved to Tulsa from Bartlesville in 1957. All their children went to school there. He thinks that Tulsa has a lot of wonderful features and that no place is as convenient to live. Bob’s wife has since passed away. She was a rare, lovely person and the love of his life. Their three children live in Texas, Oklahoma and New Jersey. When he visits and enjoys his children and grandchildren, he is always ready to come back home before they get too tired of him. Bob worked in Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science for eight different companies before he retired at 75.

Dr. Al and Jeri Brownlee: Dr. Brownlee was a children’s allergist before he retired. His wife was a teacher and also worked in his office. She helped put him through medical school with her teaching. They have been married for 56 years. Dr. Brownlee has volunteered at OMM among other retirement communities, so he has seen them all up close. He emphasizes the fact that OMM is not a nursing home, although it has all the facilities to provide health care services, if ever needed.
