



Exercise Classes
Seniorcise III: This class is designed to focus on upper and lower body strengthening. It will involve the use of hand weights and resistance bands. In this class you will spend 75% of your time sitting and 25% in standing. This class is designed for those individuals who feel safer seated while performing exercise. Instructor: Katie Cox
Seniorcise II: This class is designed to focus on upper and lower body strengthening. It will involve the use of hand weights and resistance bands. In this class you will spend 75% of your time standing and 25% in sitting. This class will also increase your endurance and help improve your balance. Instructor: Katie Cox
Core Power: A 20 minute class designed to strengthen your core which includes the muscles of your abdominal area, lower back, and hips. The core is very important in maintaining your balance. This class is typically performed on the floor on mats; however exercises can be adjusted and performed while in a chair. Instructors: Katie Cox
ROM & Flexibility: This class is designed to work the Range of Motion (ROM) of almost every joint in your body as well as increase your over all flexibility. This class is for everyone especially those with arthritis. This class is performed while seated. Instructor: Katie Cox
Tower of Power Balance: In this class we will focus on dynamic balance. There will be a series of four stations. Each station will focus on a different component of balance. For safety purposes each balance station will be manned by a staff member trained by the Director of Wellness. This class is for everyone. Challenges can be added for all levels of balance. Instructor: Katie Cox & Staff
One size fits all exercise class: This class will only be held a few times a year. When in the event we need to cancel most exercise classes for various reasons we still want you to have the opportunity to get your exercise. This class will be modified for all fitness levels. It will be a 30 minute class using hand weights and resistance bands. Instructor: Katie Cox
Shoulder Recovery Class: If you have noticed a loss in the range of motion in your shoulder and/or a decrease in strength then this class is for you. This class will go for 12 weeks and meet 3times a week. We will focus on increasing shoulder range of motion and strengthening the stabilizing musculature of the shoulder joint. You will need to bring your own stick that is about the length of a cane. Getting down on the floor is strongly suggested put if you just can’t we will figure out another way.
